"Hi Hajo, We had an awesome trip & are not only considering going again next year, but have recruited a number of friends to join us! (hopefully a few actually will!)
I have a few suggestions (for whatever its worth): the website doesn't really make it clear that there are varying distances & paces to suit many levels of cyclists (it may intimidate people). (Thanks, Michelle, I fixed that for 2002.) Thanks again-you did a great job! Michele"

"Hajo- This really was one of the best trips I have had. The only problem was that I wished I had stayed longer. It was well organized, relaxing, in a beautiful place, and the riding was challenging, yet not too difficult. Bravo."

"Hello Hajo!
I had a wonderful time at Max's camp and you did a great job to make sure we
were all comfortable. I appreciated that very much. Thank you.
If you recall I went to the Stephen Roche camp when I left Alcudia. Roche
had only 91 participants the week I was there. They average 90-130 per week
normally. The rides are between 55 to 60 miles and return at 12:30. All rides
are hilly immediately. I had their shop replace my 42 with a 39 and even
though it did not turn me into Marco Pantani it certainly inproved my
climbing. I rode on my own in the afternoon and ended with almost 1000 miles
for the two weeks. The big difference for me with the two camps was that the
great town that the Roche camp is located in (Palma Nova). It is a beautiful
beach town with many restaurants & nightclubs. Absolutely beautiful! And
#2, everyone speaks English. The British have taken over the two communities
of Palma Nova & adjacent Magalluf and I felt like I was vacationing in
London.
The camp also is very intimate & you get to know all the riders by the 2nd
day. I rode with an out of shape Stephen Roche (he stood for the climbs
while I stayed in the saddle--thank you 39 ring). He is a character. He made
sure to sit & speak with everyone in camp at dinner.
However, while the Roche camp has it's pluses I prefer the Swiss camp for
the following reasons:
#1 Longer rides,
#2 The 20-30 miles of flat to rolling before the real climbs,
#3 The Swiss hotel is much nicer with a greater variety of food,
#4 Hajo Thiele
You made the stay at the Swiss camp very comfortable for all of us. If I
attended the Swiss camp on my own I would be lost & lonely in the German
language & culture even though I did get very close to my riding group led
by Candide. What you are doing is extremely helpful for English speaking
Americans.
I plan to attend the Swiss camp next year & bring some friends who have
expressed interest. My only suggestion is perhaps running the two "American"
weeks later than this year in order to give participants time to get in some
base miles at home before riding 70+ miles with climbs in Majorca.
Thank you again Hajo. You are a good guy and it was a pleasure to meet you
and call you my friend.
Best regards,
John R."

"On a scale of 1 (being the worst) to 10 (being the best), I would have to rate
this trip a nine.
The island of Majorca is the perfect place for a bicycling vacation whether you
go to tour or to train. The weather conditions are ideal: dry, little rainfall,
with temperatures averaging between 60 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The road
riding was some of the best I have ever encountered. With the island's
beautiful scenery and varied terrain, there is something for both the casual and
serious cyclist. Moreover, you can do flats, rollers / hills and long climbs,
allowing you to concentrate on a specific type of training or vary your workout.
The Max Huerzeler Swiss-Bicycle-Team facility is well organized and run. The
hotel accommodations and food service were first class.
Most importantly, Hajo went out of his way to make sure that my vacation went
smoothly; his help was invaluable.
Overall, the vacation was well worth it, and I look forward to doing it again next year.
Sincerely,
John K. B."

"Hey Hajo! Welcome back. We had such a good time in Majorca - thanks again for everything. Did everything go alright the second week? It has taken our legs quite a while to recover from all those miles. We have been telling our team about in and a few at least are definitely interested for next year. This is our website just FYI www.3dracingteam.com I put a link to your website in our message board. Hope to see you at some road races this year - maybe Bear Mtn. on May 13th? Later, Jenny"
